The shortest of the news.
The Teenagers' drummer appears to have vanished, leaving the band unable to support The Wombats in Edinburgh, Sheffield and Inverness, but they are hoping to sort something out for this weekend's festivals, including the Great Escape in Brighton.
Copy Cats have a new song up at Myspace.com/wearecopycats called 'But I Wanted To'. It reminds me slightly of The Horrors, but is actually pretty good.
Rolo Tomassi also have a new song up at Myspace.com/rolotomassi called 'Beatrotter', which was released earlier this year on 7" with 'Digital History'. It's pretty damn screamy and short, but sounds a lot of fun.
The Courteeners want you to send any photos you've got from the tour to Thecourteeners.com, as they're thinking of putting some of them on the back of the new single - the B-sides for which are all covers, in an attempt to give you an insight into what they're into and contradict those who have judged them.

Pigeon Detectives Postpone Shows
The Pigeon Detectives' performance at One Big Weekend last weekend has resulted in them having to postpone two shows (Dublin and Belfast) this week after lead singer, Matt Bowman, ended up leaving the site in an ambulance after badly injuring his leg.
You can see a video of the performance, along with photos, which are actually funnier and more dramatic-looking, and a setlist at BBC.co.uk/radio1/bigweekend/2008/artists/pigeondetectives.
The whole injury part doesn't actually look like much of a big deal, but if that's all you want to see, fast forward to about 18:07, during 'Take Her Back'. The set up to this point was just Matt hurling himself around the stage like a hyperactive six year old, incorporating some rather entertaining dance moves and covering himself in water, but after a brief lie down mid-set, he is far more subdued - even if he does continue to jump around a fair bit.

Enter Shikari Studio Diary
Enter Shikari are doing video diaries of their time in the studio (or rather, a bungalow), so here's the first one, which basically comprises of a five hour conversation about which instrument should go where interjected with bits of strange new sounds, and ends up with the band playing Audioslave. Clearly these are fascinating and productive times for Enter Shikari.
Futureheads vs. We Are Scientists & Webchat
The Futureheads will be taking part in a live webchat (the usual Q&A) tomorrow between 4 and 5pm at Chat.gigwise.com.
And just for good measure, here's a video of The Futureheads taking on We Are Scientists in a tug of war from last weekend's One Big Weekend. I won't tell you who wins, but I think it's fairly obvious who has the advantage.

In The City Submissions
It seems to have come around again terribly quickly, but demo submissions are now open for bands wishing to participate in this year's In The City. You'll have to send a demo (minimum of three tracks), biog and photo to the ITC office, or visit Inthecity.co.uk and use the online submission system (Inthecity.co.uk/showscreen.php?site_id=30&screentype=folder&screenid=1581).
If you're not quite so musical and just feel like passing judgement on others, the event will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of October this year and bands and venues will be announced soon.

Free Blood Red Shoes EP
You can get a free EP of four tracks from Blood Red Shoes' set in Hamburg last October. But don't get your hopes up, it's not as easy as it might sound.
They're being cunning and making you do their promotion for them. Basically, if you enter your email address you get the first track ('ADHD'), if you enter three of your friends' email addresses you get the second ('It's Getting Boring By The Sea') and if you enter six you get the third track ('Try Harder'). It's not quite clear how you go about getting the fourth track ('I Wish I Was Somewhere Better')... perhaps it comes with the third.
So if you fancy annoying up to six people you know and getting a couple of free tracks out of it, you can visit Bloodredshoes.co.uk/sendtoafriend.

Barely Worth A Mention
The shortest of the news.

Ting Tings On New Single & Midnight Bike Rides In Paris
Katie of The Ting Tings has said this on 'That's Not My Name', released today: "This is one of my favourite songs on the album and was written when Jules and myself were skint, feeling down and un-confident after a horrible experience in another band. Although on the face of it, it is chantey and upbeat it actually means a lot to us as it has some really frustrated lyrics/emotion in it that I still find so easy to drag back up when performing it. So yeah, I don't want to spoil the throw away party song vibe for all you guys who want to dance but it's a fuck you! style song as well, one that we meant every word of when we wrote it."
The band also played a gig in Paris, so here's a video of them riding their bikes at midnight, after a day packed with interviews and a gig in the evening, out of determination to see the city
The band are now in back Salford rehearsing 'We Walk' for their imminent tour, which will feature Katie on the keyboard.

Ice, Sea, Dead People, Camden Crawl Anger & Collaborations
Ice, Sea, Dead People have posted an angry blog about the Camden Crawl on their Myspace (http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=13321588&blogID=388547913). Apparently it's not as angry as it should be because it's been a while, but it does let you know what goes on at these things, how the band did and "the utter carelessness that the Camden Crawl organised it with".
There's also a possibility that the band will be doing a split 7" single with two other bands. Who's included and when it'll come out should be announced soon - watch this space.
