Hadouken! will be uploading sneak previews of their interestingly titled debut album, 'Music For An Accelerated Culture' from yesterday up until its release. So far they've added 'GAMEOVER' to Myspace.com/hadoukenuk. It's all right, but it doesn't exactly jump out at you - about as exciting as latest single, 'Declaration Of War'.
And if you're a massive fan with the ability to travel to Leeds on Friday 18th between 5pm and 6pm or Saturday 19th between 4pm and 6pm, Jumbo Records in The Upper Mall will be playing an exclusive advance copy of the album, which you can then pre-order instore on the day if you're impressed.

Does It Offend You TV
The band have launched a "TV blog thing", which you can subscribe to via their website (doesitoffendyou.com). They should soon be sending out loads of footage from their upcoming tour of the U.S.
Teenagers Soko Cover
The Teenagers have a cover of Soko's "Love No" up on their myspace (Myspace.com/theteenagers). The band proclaim it to be "AMAZING", and I must admit, it is very good - softer than their usual stuff - although there is a faster, more dancey version following it.

The Kooks Downloads
You can download album track, 'Tick Of Time' and a live-at-the-Astoria version of single, 'Always Where I Need To Be', from Stereogum (stereogum.com) (right click, save as).
Tick Of Time begins as laughter and a kick drum, and turns into a fairly dry recording of a song that sounds a bit Bedouin Soundclash in its breaking vocals, acoustic guitars and off-beat rhythm.
Always Where I Need To Be is nothing you haven't heard before of course, but the guitars are far more grizzly than the single, so it's probably worth getting if you were going to get the single anyway.

We Are Scientists Super-fast Live CDs
At four of We Are Scientists' UK dates (including tomorrow's show at Academy 1) there will be people recording the set. They will, remarkably, then mix it in a van outside the venue and using a "super-fast CD burner machine that looks like R2D2 but with five legs", make it available within ten minutes of the end of the show. You can buy it whenever you want via the Concert Live website (concertlive.co.uk), and either pick it up at the show or have it shipped, but there are only 1500 copies from each show, and I imagine they'll sell quickly.

Dodgy Hadouken! Album
Apparently someone has circulated a copy of Hadouken!'s debut album with 30 second snippets of each track looped over and over. To top that, some moronic blog writers have downloaded this version, failed to spot it’s not actually the album and written reviews of it saying that all the songs are really repetitive. So watch out for it, and try not to be quite so stupid.

Hot Club de Paris Album Tracks/Night & Day Video
You can now listen to three tracks from the new Hot Club de Paris album on their myspace (http://www.myspace.com/hotclubdeparis). 'Hey Housebrick' is the new single, out 26th May; 'A Friendship Song' is a one handed vs two handed tapping duet with some tin can and clapping; 'The Anchor' is a cover version of the minutemen song - one of their favourite songs.
They've also released the following video of them playing Manchester's Night & Day.

Johnny Foreigner Single/Japan/Merchandise/Festivals
Since their debut single, 'Our Bipolar Friends' sold out, Johnny Foreigner have decided to release another one - Eyes Wide Terrified. The video (below) features the band doing what they do best surrounded by some not-so-terrifying ghosts and, of course, an excellent follow-up single. They're also planning to take over Japan, having just signed a Japanese deal with Fabtone Records (Media Factory) for the release of the forthcoming debut album, 'Waited Up 'til It Was Light', the Japanese release of which will have two bonus tracks and extra artwork features. And they'll even be appearing at this year's Summersonic Festival in Tokyo, Japan on 9th August - they're "well excited!"
You can now buy Johnny Foreigner merchandise at very reasonable prices from their online store (http://www.slipstreamstores.co.uk/johnny_foreigner/index.php). Like this:

Newly announced festival appearances: The Great Escape, Hereford Jailhouse All-dayer, Redfest, Zoo Festival, Lounge on the Farm, Truck Festival and Lovebox.

Editors Support REM
It has just been announced that Editors will be the main support to REM on their UK tour in August, which includes a date at the Lancashire County Cricket Club on Sunday 24th August, as well as some of the European dates. The Manchester date hasn't sold out yet, and tickets cost £45 (£50 with booking fee), but I suspect they're going fast.
