Latest Gigs

8th July - Interpol - Apollo - £20.00 adv. and on sale from 9.00am Friday 28th March.

And Reading and Leeds Festival tickets are going onsale at 6:45pm on Monday instead of the usual 7:00, it would seem. (But the NME claim to have a batch going onsale at 7:30 - here)

Foals Free Downloads

First single 'Hummer' and album track 'Two Steps Twice' (both recorded live at the Astoria) are available to download for free from here.
They're pretty slow to download and you have to right click and 'save target as', but they're damn good recordings (especially 'Two Steps Twice') so it's probably worth it if you haven't got the album yet.

Hadouken! Declare War at M.E.N...

Hadouken! are so proud of their new video for latest single, 'Declaration of War', that they have decided (to my intrigue and amusement) to screen it at unusually large venues all over the country, notably the MEN Arena at 18:30 this Sunday.

The video was directed by Daniel Wolfe, who also did The Horrors' 'Gloves' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C97vPBa2K1Q) and Does It Offend You, Yeah?'s 'We Are Rockstars' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf_Rv0hCF6I) and sees Hadouken "pitted against sinister forces in a real life battle for survival", so it looks like it might be a laugh. I for one am drawn to going just to see how many people actually turn up.

Kooks Listenage

This is a 'widget' with 3 clips from the new album; 'Sway', 'Shine On' and 'Always Where I Need To Be' as well as the video for the latter - they're all nice songs if you're into The Kooks.
Apparently it "magically updates with new content over the coming weeks". Exciting stuff.
