Festivals
Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Sparks, The Roots, and Bloc Party have all been confirmed to play Hydro Connect on 29-31 August at the Inveraray Castle ground near Loch Fyne, Argyll, Scotland.

You can already buy tickets for next year's Great Escape Festival (14-16 May 2009, Brighton).

There is a new stage at this year's Reading/Leeds Festivals, called Festival Republic, supposedly 'the first port of call for anyone looking to see the next big things now'.
